WOW-time is flying by!

WOW- where is the time going?? Can you believe that in 43 days our baby girl will be here! I think the anxiety is starting to set in. We have so much to do in so little time. Here is just the short list...
-Finish house
-Unpack everything
-Set up baby's room
-wash all baby stuff
-get car seats installed
-finish decorating nursery
AAAHHHH...I could go on for pages but I don't want to bore you or scare myself into another sleepless night! :)

Since I am avoiding the house topic today I thought I would post something that makes me really happy- one of our maternity pics. Our good friend and very talented photographer Tori of TW Photography (click the link on the side to see her stuff) took some amazing pictures to capture this event. We had so much fun with her and even though we have only seen 4 teaser photos I am so excited about them. So here is a teaser for all of you....

Stay tuned for house updates tomorrow-well hopefully!! It really is turning out gorgeous!

House Update....

Sorry I have been lagging on the updates. I have been a bit overwhelmed the last few weeks with what needs to get done, when will it be done, and making sure everything does get done. But it is slowly but surely coming together piece by piece. Almost all of our concrete work is done and it looks FABULOUS!! We went with a darker grey color and never looked at a sample. At first as they were pouring the first truck load I got very nervous because it was coming out black, like tar. But after we let it dry overnight and saw how it was starting to lighten to a beautiful dark grey I was stoked. We have already gone through 13 cement trucks and have about 3 more coming on Monday to finish everything. Then the landscapers will start planting all of the fun plants.

As for the inside things are moving at a snails pace! Man, you would think during these times people would want to work, work hard and try to finish early so they can go on to another job but that is not the case. It simply amazes me. But I have to say that all of the painting is done except for the touch up right before we move in. It all looks so good. Almost all of the cabinets are in. We are just waiting for the wood floors to be installed next week so we can put the kitchen cabinets in. I am in awe of how the cabinets have turned out- it is beautiful.

But the most impressive room is Baby T's!!! OH how I love how it turned out. I heart her room. It is beautiful. She is going to be very lucky when it is all done....

Next week will be busy, hopefully. Our wood floors will be going in. Our countertops will be going in and the tile will be finished. We are still hoping for an early January move in date so please keep your fingers crossed!

Here are some updated pics.

31 week update...

It has already been a crazy pregnancy week. We had our first baby shower and it was fabulous. Chris' parents did an amazing job hosting it and we had such a great time catching up with everyone. Baby T is already very spoiled and loved by all. I will post more pics once we get them.
All of the family together!

Chris and I

I have finally turned into a very pregnant person :) I have cankles!!! By the end of the day my feet and ankles swell so much I look like I have tree trunks for legs!! It is very sexy!! I had my normal dr appointment this week and lets just say I am carrying a few extra pounds of water weight or so I am telling myself! So I am now back to walking everyday no matter how cold it is! And then to add to my fragile state of mind as I was checking out at the grocery store the clerk asked me when I was due. I said "feb." and she said "with twins?" "Nope just one little girl" "I don't think she is going to be too little!!"" Ok...don't people know that they shouldn't say that type of thing to a woman let alone a pregnant woman?!
Here is a shot of the belly...does it look like twins to you???

Our classes are going great. We are learning lots of great stuff on how to tackle the birth. However, I think Chris and I fail miserably when it comes to the relaxation point. every time the teacher tells us to relax, close our eyes and think of a happy place we loose it. We start laughing and giggling and cannot stop. This past week it spread throughout the whole class!! So I wont be surprised if we get kicked out of that part soon. I can say that I dont think we will be having quiet moments of counting backwards during our delivery!

30 Weeks!!! and the baby class start

WOW...we are already 30 weeks. In just 70 days our little girl is due. Time is flying by and I am trying to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy. Tonight we start our baby classes. We have signed up for three- baby basics, breastfeeding and birthing and I am so excited. We have made a plan to treat each one as a date night- which means starting with dinner out and then heading to the hospital for our three hour class. Tonight will be the first of 5 on the birthing. I cannot wait to see Chris' eyes as we watch the video- it will be hilarious!

The painter is still working on Baby T's nursery but from what we have seen it is looking awsome!! I am so excited. I think everything is going to come together perfectly. I have been spending hours on esty trying to find the perfect art for her walls and I have finally narrowed it down. Plus, we are going to add some b/w pictures from our maternity pics (we still have to do that) and a b/w pic of my niece and nephews hands on the belly (it is the cutest picture ever)!

We are also getting ready to head to the bay area this weekend for our first baby shower. Chris' parents are hosting it and it should be a lot of fun. We cant wait to see everyone!

I will let you know how the classes go....

Color...Color...Color!!

WOW! What a long few weeks it has been. The painter has finally actually added color to our walls-this is after 2 1/2 weeks of -we're not really sure what they were doing but they called it "masking." We have our red wall and it only took 5 trips to the paint store for the right color. But all in all it was worth the wait because it looks FABULOUS!!! So as of today our lounge, family room, loft, master bedroom, craft room and kids bathrooms are all painted. Here are a few sneak peeks....make sure you put your shades on before looking at the red (it is not so bright in person :)

Mamma T and Baby T in the future nursery...wait til next week when the paint is done

We also had a busy week with the landscaper. Our front and backyard is graded and the irrigation is done. The front has its forms all done and tomorrow they will finish the backyard so we can start pouring our 7,000 sq ft of concrete!!! Here our some updated yard and exterior pics.....

Sneak peek of baby T!!!

Chris and I had our 3D ultrasound yesterday and what an amazing experience. First off, baby T is definitely a girl!!! She cooperated completely and within the first few minutes we knew she was a girl. (Chris wont let me post this picture-we cant show her who-who!!!:)

Next we moved on to the 3D part. At first we weren't having very good luck because baby T loves to hide in little areas. So the technician had me drink my juice, walk the hallways and then go potty. Sure enough when we started again we got to see her first pictures. She is beautiful!! I think Chris has some strong genes- or at least his cheeks because our little girl has got them.

So without further delay here is Baby T's debut......................

Hello 3rd Trimester!!!

WOW! Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was peeing on a stick that would change our lives forever and now we are just a few short months away from meeting our little one. I feel very lucky that this pregnancy has been so good to me. Sure there were some rough moments in the beginning but overall this has been a great experience and it is only getting better. Baby T is beginning to move a lot more or at least I feel it a lot more!:) she is like a mini Mike Tyson once she starts moving. Chris and I have enjoyed many hours watching my tummy start moving. It is a feeling that I never want to forget and have really tried to sit back and enjoy.

I had my checkup today and everything looks good. I passed my 1 hour gluclose test so I was excited about that. I also asked lots of burning questions about my hospital stay. I have been loosing hours of sleep worrying about if I was going to have to share a room while I was there. And much to my surprise it looks like I shouldn't have to!!! YEAH!!!

We also scheduled our 3D ultrasound for next week. We will hopefully have a more cooperative baby and she will want to show us her cute face because I want to see what she is going to look like. I also hope to get a confirmation that she really is a girl! I am still hesitating when we are shopping because I dont want to buy to much girl stuff and not be able to use it! It is really going to be a fun experience because we have invited both sets of grandparents to join us in seeing their granddaughter for hte first time. so keep posted for those pictures next week.

So now I am off to put my feet up- let me just say that swollen toes are not pretty and enjoy a homemade peach crisp- hey I passed my gluclose test so bring on the sugar. :)

only 99 more days!!!

I can't believe there are only 99 days left until our little baby girl arrives!! Hello double digits...I cannot believe how quickly time is flying by. According to the books are little girl is the size of an eggplant this week and is weighing almost 2 lbs!!

That is CRAZY!! It is no wonder that I can feel her moving around like crazy. She is VERY active once I settle down for the night in bed-once I lay down and get comfortable she starts kicking and tossing. It is such an amazing feeling. I am so excited that the kicks have started to get so strong that Chris can feel them. He absolutely loves to put his head on my tummy and listen to her swishing around and feel her kick him. It has been such a great bonding experience already. I feel very blessed that this pregnancy had been pretty easy so far. I still have plenty of energy and have gotten my appetite back ( darn sweet tooth is back)! I have also learned to chill out and slow down a bit- which for me is a great task in itself.

So now that there are less than 100 days left the list of things to do has become a little more daunting. So I am off to start packing our house up so it will be ready to move when the new one is done.

A quick update...

It has once again been a crazy week. The house is moving along right on schedule and they will start painting the interior tomorrow. I cannot wait to see all of the colors start going up. The landscaper is also starting tomorrow so hopefully we can get all of the cement work in before the rain season really begins. That will make such a huge difference in how everything looks. We have been swamped trying to make sure everything stays on schedule and that everything is ordered on time. We are still keeping our fingers crossed for an end of the year move in...New years moving day and party- anyone up for it?!?

This weekend Chris and I were super busy organizing our storage room in our home. It is almost completely filled from floor to ceiling of boxes. We have been living in our rental for almost 1.5 years and I can't wait to finally be able to unpack everything. I think it will be like Christmas all over again because I forget what is in all of these boxes. We are also trying to pack up everything we wont need for the next 6 -8 weeks so when it times to move it will already be done. Plus, by the time we do move this growing belly might just be in the way...

Speaking of the belly here is the latest pic...

we were at the race track last weekend for Rescue Racing's last race. Chris drove and he and Ry got 3rd place. It was a very exciting race weekend. Baby T loved being out there. She was moving around like crazy every time the boys were on the track. It was great. I think she is destined to be a racer- I know her daddy will love that :)

Bedding has been decided...

Thanks to everyone who voted and called with their ideas. We finally made a decision and we are going with option #1.

After hours of searching paint colors and coming up with thousands of ideas we have finally come up with a great idea on how we are going to paint the room-it is very Chris and Kelly :) and I am sure the painter is going to pull out his hair when he sees my drawing. But we are keeping that a surprise until it is all done. So keep posted or even better come and see it when it is done. I feel so much better now that this has been decided. Now all that is left to do is decide on a changing table/dresser and glider. Oh- I think I forgot to share the crib we finally decided on. Here it is...

we chose the crib with the white and then a blonde wood. It looks great-contemporary but not too contemporary! I love it and I think we will be able to use it again :)(am I already thinking about baby #2?!?!). Have a great weekend.

House Update...

Things are moving along...we are done with insulation, the walls are sheetrocked and textured, and the stone is going on the exterior of the house. Once the sheetrock went up we couldn't believe how much bigger everything felt it really feels like a 6000 sq ft home! But it has made us even more excited about moving in. I have been a little stress case this week because I am beginning to freak out about when it will be done and how much I will be able to do when it is done. This baby is not slowing down so we have to keep on track. We are hoping to be in by the first week of January so be watching for the email asking, actually begging for your help. I can't imagine that in less than a month after we move in our little one will be here- how oh how will I ever get everything unpacked and organized?!? Here are some update pics- hope you like.

Chris and Natalie checking on the insulation- just how sound proof will it be in his office??

Just to show how massive the fireplace really is- it goes up 24 ft. I am at the top of the stairs looking down....

Vote on Baby T's bedding....

So it has been brought to my attention that I have been a little slow on the blogging but I have not had a minute to sit down at the computer. We (well I) have been feverishly working on trying to pick Baby T (yes, she does not have a name yet...that is a whole different post!) bedding. As you all know, I am not really into the girly girl stuff and I cannot believe how much girly, frilly bedding is out there. What are cool, contemporary babies supposed to do?? So after days, hours, and many stops at all of the baby stores in Sacramento we have narrowed it down to two. So let me know what you think...oh and a little heads up is that the walls of her room are going to be aqua or even better Tiffany blue (J, I know you will love it!)

Option 1:

I am waiting for this to be shipped to me to see how soft the pink is. I love the design and have some great ideas of what we can do on the walls...

Option 2:

This is bright, fun and kinda surfer chick cool and since she is a Cali girl could be really fun...

what do you think?????????????????????

It's a GIRL!!!!!

Yes, we are on Team Pink!!! Our beautiful little girl is looking very healthy and is measuring perfectly for our February 11 due date! Our ultra sound was quite an experience. They did a full checkup on the baby measuring her heart, stomach, brain, and making sure all of her organs and limbs looked great. Then the technician tried to find out the sex. Our little girl already has quite the personality- she did not want to move her legs at all. She had taken them and shoved them in a corner and would not move them for anything. I tried laying on both sides, I emptied my bladder and we even tried poking at her but she would not budge. So after a few minutes and seeing the disappointment on our faces the technician told us to go have lunch and then come back so we could try again. We went to lunch, came back and tried again. But of course our little "spit fire" still didnt want to cooperate. So once again Chris and I took to the hallway to walk laps around the building trying to get her to move her legs. We finally got her to wiggle them but she never would spread them. But after looking at every angle possible the technician told us that even though we couldn't get the money shot she is pretty positive it's a girl. Chris and I have been laughing all weekend that out little girl is already such a lady and has such great manners because she knows that ladies should keep their legs closed:)!

Now that we know it's a girl we have to decide on the nursery this week so the painter can paint it when they start in a few weeks. I have a feeling that this is not going to be an easy task! So if you have seen any bedding that you love send it my way!

3 years ago today...

Chris and I got married! It was one of the happiest days of my life. I spent the morning remembering how the day went-from getting ready at our old house with my mom, auntie and the girls to the moments leading up to me walking down the aisle and saying "I do"! I feel so lucky to have married Chris-he has filled these past 3 years with so much love and happiness. I can't wait to see what the future hold for us.

Now, three years later, I spent the morning at the drs. office making sure our future go-kart champion was doing well. He or she had a very strong heartbeat and everything looks great. But the real exciting part of the appointment was that we got to schedule our big ultrasound-the one where we get to find out if we will be on Team Pink or Team Blue. Our appointment is next Friday and I don't think I can wait that long. At first I didn't want to find out the sex of the baby and have it be a surprise. But Chris convinced me that since we are building a house we should find out so we can do our dream nursery and have everything done when the baby comes. Now that I have been convinced I cant wait. I cant wait to start buying clothes, to decorate the nursery and to pick out all of the fun baby gadgets. So stayed tuned next week for a HUGE update.

I thought it would be fun to post pictures of us from three years ago at the wedding and one of me today. What a difference!! :)

Our Babymoon

We just got back from the most relaxing "babymoon" ever. First, let me start off by saying that from the moment we found out we were PG Chris started planning this trip. He said that we were going to spend a week somewhere warm, tropical and where we could just relax and enjoy one last vacation before the baby. Well he succeeded!! We spent a week on the beautiful island of Kauai in the town of Princeville. We had a fabulous room at the Princeville resort that overlooked the ocean and the mountains. The entire week was spent laying by the beach, swimming and relaxing. It was something we both really needed and enjoyed. We did find the time to tour the entire island- checking out where my mom and dad had vacationed in the 70's, we did a 6 hour catamaran tour of the NaPali coast and enjoyed many great meals. I am just so sad it had to end. I could really get used to waking up every morning to the sounds of waves crashing on the beach (and of course the crowing rooster outside our window) and sitting by a beach all day. On the way home we made a stop in Seattle and spent a few hours at Pike's place market. Chris had never been so I thought it would be a fun treat. He was in awe of all of the fresh fish.

Now that we are home and back to reality we have to focus on some of the finishing touches of our house. It looks like they will start sheet rocking next week! So all of the tile must be picked out, the floors need to be finalized and we need to decide on some wallpaper choices. So it will be a busy week.

But here are a few pics of our trip. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aloha...welcome to paradise

First stop...the beach and fruity drinks!

Cruising the island with the drop top sebring! :)

Our last dinner at Duke's- yummy Hula pie!!!!!
