It's a GIRL!!!!!

Yes, we are on Team Pink!!! Our beautiful little girl is looking very healthy and is measuring perfectly for our February 11 due date! Our ultra sound was quite an experience. They did a full checkup on the baby measuring her heart, stomach, brain, and making sure all of her organs and limbs looked great. Then the technician tried to find out the sex. Our little girl already has quite the personality- she did not want to move her legs at all. She had taken them and shoved them in a corner and would not move them for anything. I tried laying on both sides, I emptied my bladder and we even tried poking at her but she would not budge. So after a few minutes and seeing the disappointment on our faces the technician told us to go have lunch and then come back so we could try again. We went to lunch, came back and tried again. But of course our little "spit fire" still didnt want to cooperate. So once again Chris and I took to the hallway to walk laps around the building trying to get her to move her legs. We finally got her to wiggle them but she never would spread them. But after looking at every angle possible the technician told us that even though we couldn't get the money shot she is pretty positive it's a girl. Chris and I have been laughing all weekend that out little girl is already such a lady and has such great manners because she knows that ladies should keep their legs closed:)!

Now that we know it's a girl we have to decide on the nursery this week so the painter can paint it when they start in a few weeks. I have a feeling that this is not going to be an easy task! So if you have seen any bedding that you love send it my way!

3 years ago today...

Chris and I got married! It was one of the happiest days of my life. I spent the morning remembering how the day went-from getting ready at our old house with my mom, auntie and the girls to the moments leading up to me walking down the aisle and saying "I do"! I feel so lucky to have married Chris-he has filled these past 3 years with so much love and happiness. I can't wait to see what the future hold for us.

Now, three years later, I spent the morning at the drs. office making sure our future go-kart champion was doing well. He or she had a very strong heartbeat and everything looks great. But the real exciting part of the appointment was that we got to schedule our big ultrasound-the one where we get to find out if we will be on Team Pink or Team Blue. Our appointment is next Friday and I don't think I can wait that long. At first I didn't want to find out the sex of the baby and have it be a surprise. But Chris convinced me that since we are building a house we should find out so we can do our dream nursery and have everything done when the baby comes. Now that I have been convinced I cant wait. I cant wait to start buying clothes, to decorate the nursery and to pick out all of the fun baby gadgets. So stayed tuned next week for a HUGE update.

I thought it would be fun to post pictures of us from three years ago at the wedding and one of me today. What a difference!! :)

Our Babymoon

We just got back from the most relaxing "babymoon" ever. First, let me start off by saying that from the moment we found out we were PG Chris started planning this trip. He said that we were going to spend a week somewhere warm, tropical and where we could just relax and enjoy one last vacation before the baby. Well he succeeded!! We spent a week on the beautiful island of Kauai in the town of Princeville. We had a fabulous room at the Princeville resort that overlooked the ocean and the mountains. The entire week was spent laying by the beach, swimming and relaxing. It was something we both really needed and enjoyed. We did find the time to tour the entire island- checking out where my mom and dad had vacationed in the 70's, we did a 6 hour catamaran tour of the NaPali coast and enjoyed many great meals. I am just so sad it had to end. I could really get used to waking up every morning to the sounds of waves crashing on the beach (and of course the crowing rooster outside our window) and sitting by a beach all day. On the way home we made a stop in Seattle and spent a few hours at Pike's place market. Chris had never been so I thought it would be a fun treat. He was in awe of all of the fresh fish.

Now that we are home and back to reality we have to focus on some of the finishing touches of our house. It looks like they will start sheet rocking next week! So all of the tile must be picked out, the floors need to be finalized and we need to decide on some wallpaper choices. So it will be a busy week.

But here are a few pics of our trip. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aloha...welcome to paradise
