Rylee's 3 month stats!!!

So our little girl is already 3 months. I know I say this every month but WOW time goes by so fast. Even though people told me the time would fly by I had no idea just how right they are. I am trying to savor every minute with her. Every day she is changing so much. Her personality is shining through more and more each day. So here are a few of her stats for the month...

At three months Rylee:

- weight: 12lbs 6 oz
- has outgrown her 0-3 month clothes
- has moved on to size 2 diapers
- is starting to get more hair on the top of her head- it looks like it is getting lighter but we will see
- her eyes color has taken on a more hazel color but has a blue ring around the outside- they are beautiful
- is sleeping 10-11 hours a night!!! But still hates nap time during the day. She will sleep in the car or walk but hates a nap in her crib. She thinks she might miss something...
- is cooing all the time. We can sit and coo back and forth for many minutes before she looses interest.
- still twirls her feet while she eats
- would rather sit in our lap than lay down-that way she can see everything going on
- smiles all the time and has started to laugh which cracks Chris and I up everytime
- she love to follow chris and I around with her eyes
- has started to like her Baby b'jorn- thank goodness
- survived her first cold. I think it was harder on mom and dad. She was a champion!
- can move herself from one end of the crib to the other in no time. Every morning we wake up to her in a different place.
- is starting to realize she can grab things with her hands. Once she does grab something she wants to put it in her mouth.
- loves sucking on her hands.
- is the most beautiful baby in the world :)

playing and talking to her animal friends!

Easter 2009

So its been a few weeks since Easter but I want to update those of you that are still following this blog. We had a fabulous Easter. The family came to our home and we BBQ and had a great time hanging out in the backyard enjoying the warm weather. What made this Easter even better (other than Rylee being here) was that we had about 500 sheep and goats behind our house. It was so incredible to hear them bah-bah throughout the day. Rylee enjoyed her first Easter- she even let me put a bow on her head. She loved watching the older kids gather eggs and they even saved her one egg to find. Here are some pics...

Rylee's 2 month stats!

Our baby girl is already 10 weeks old!!! I can't believe it- time is going by so fast and we are enjoying every second of it. I'm sorry for the slow updates but when Rylee is awake I hate wasting time on the computer! But we have had the best month with her. Our days are filled with smiles and laughs, playing and talking, and taking walks and seeing new sites. It is the best life!!!

Here are Rylee's two month stats:

- Weight: 10lbs 9 oz
- Height: 23.25 inches
- Head circum: 37 cent.
- Her eyes are slowly changing- they are blue around the outside and the most beautiful hazel color in the center- a total 50/50 of Chris and I!!! Now it will be interesting to see which color wins :)
- She is smiling more and more everyday. She smiles the moment we walk into her room in the morning and as she drifts off to sleep at night. Every smile still melts our hearts!
- She has started to laugh. She gets very excited and opens her mouth wide and starts to lift up her shoulders- it is the cutest thing ever!
- She has started to enjoy her swing- thank goodness because it makes mealtime much easier. She scrunches herself down to the bottom and loves to stare at the swinging mechanism. She can sit there for an hour without any problem.
- She is enjoying her playmat...she loves to stare at herself in the mirror and smile. Then she starts to grab at the animals and bell.
- She survived her first road trip to the bay area for Jen and Dan's baby shower. She slept the entire way there and most of the way home. She loves her car seat and we are so thankful for that! When she is in her car seat she LOVES to look at her frog, chick and crab that dangle from the handle. She smiles at them, then coo's and grabs them. It is very entertaining to watch.
- She is sleeping through the night. She stills stays up til around 10-11pm (which is very late for mommy) but then sleeps from anywhere between 7-8am!!! I am so proud of her!!
- she hates being swaddled. She loves to stretch out and sleep with her arms sprawled out. She is just like her daddy and needs plenty of room to sleep. I still am obsessive about checking on her because she loves to shimmie herself all around her crib.
- She has found her hands and loves them...she loves to try to put her entire fist into her mouth. We are trying to encourage a thumb or finger but she prefers the taste of her whole fist. :)
- She hates pacifiers and will not take one (mommy is secretly happy about this)
- She loves to watch what everyone is doing and hates it when we put her down for a nap when people are here. She is going to be our social butterfly!
- She is our princess and has stollen our hearts :)

The smile that melts our hearts!!!

All sprawled out. She loves to stretch out!

Rylee is already 5 weeks old

I can't believe how quickly time is going by- our little girl is already 5 weeks old. Here are some interesting facts.

Rylee at 1 month:

- weighs 9lbs 8 oz. Up from 7 lbs 9oz at birth
- is 22 inches (3 inch increase- no wonder that growth spirit at 3 weeks was hard)
- is starting to fill out 0-3 month clothing but always takes her right sock off
- is a BIG eater...poor mom
- still has light brown hair- we are not sure if it is going to go blond or not. But she is starting to get more of it.
- hates her swing but loves when daddy swings her
- has greyish blue eyes. i am hoping that they will turn blue like Chris'
- loves the nature noise on all her toys
- has started to smile. not on a regular basis but she gives a few every day. Every time she does it our hearts melt.
- still loves to surprise us when we are changing her diaper- thank goodness for disposable pads.
- sleeps at least 6 hours straight a night- mommy loves that
- is starting to hold her neck up more and more and is very strong. I know that once she starts crawling she will never stop.
-her favorite time of the day and our too is when we get cuddle time on our chest. She pulls her legs up (her landing gear) and
curls up under our necks...ahhh we love our noodlebug!!
- Still sleeps with one hand touching her face- something she did in every utra-sound picture.

3 days until we move in!!!!!!

Hell week is in full force and the house is really starting to become a home!!! I can't believe that after two years of planning we are finally about to move into our dream home-it is unreal. So much has happened in the last week. The landscaping is done and all I can say is WOW! It looks like a resort. It exceeded all of my expectations and I cannot wait for the summer parties to start. The lighting in the house is all hung and I love every fixture. They finished laying the carpet today and it is super comfy- I think baby T will love crawling around on it. :) The plumbing is done and all of our appliances are in. So as you can see everything is slowly being checked off our list. The only major item we are waiting for is our handrail- we HAVE to have it to pass our final inspection to move in. I think with Chris' daily phone calls and my big pregnant belly he will make it happen. So please keep us in your prayers that we do pass on Friday and we do move in because we will officially be homeless if we dont. Our landlord has new tenants moving in right after this weekend!!

On the baby front- we are considered full term-37 weeks. She has been very active lately and the braxton hicks contractions are getting more and more frequent. But we tell her every night that we cant wait to meet her but she REALLY needs to wait until after next week so we can get moved and settled. After that I am going to give her an eviction notice that I am ready for her to come:) So if you live near us I will be walking and walking until she comes and want to join me just let me know!

Here are some updated photos...

The bar/ lounge! The kegarator is in and ready to go on Friday!

The master vanity...

The breakfast nook light...doesn't it look like the ball that drops for NYE??

The kitchen backsplash...floor to ceiling tile. loves it!!

This is also going to be our last post until after the move- out internet is getting disconnected tomorrow (what am I going to do??) but we will be back next week with some move in pics. Have a great week!
